What is Happening at the Enclave
9/10/2017 8:00AM
It is currently a windy and rainy, but no hurricane winds yet. The storm is about at Key West right now. Fortunately the winds are not 185mph like they were a few days ago. Irma's winds are 130mph now, still a strong storm. The projected path is past Naples in the Gulf and making landfall near Tampa. As we have seen through out this storm this can change at any minute. I expect that things will start getting worse here in the next hour or so. Keep those prayers coming!

The Enclave has been prepared and I have moved to my home inland. The rest of the staff has evacuated or is hunkering down in their homes. Irma is still a major storm and the last forecast has her coming up the coast, and models differ as to where she will make landfall as a likely CAT4.
I will return to the Enclave to assess your units and common area as soon as an all clear is given to return. I will communicate to everyone in what ever way is available as soon as I can.
Keep praying!
I will post again as I can after the storm.

As of the 11am Weather Update unfortunately the storm track for Irma is heading more westerly and toward us. The storm has lessened in speed to about 150mph and the eye has lessened to about 50 miles wide. She is still very unpredictable and is expected to be a CAT4 when making landfall in South Florida, exactly where is not fully determined.
We have done all we possibly can to protect our property. Many owners called friends to move vehicles to higher ground. I tried to contact buildings in the area that have higher garages, but they are all full with their owners cars. Tentatively a guard or I will be on property until we can safely leave. At that time I will shut down the elevators and gas to the building. We are already starting to get rain bands. This storm is very large and dangerous.
Please keep us all in your prayers.

Today was a full day of preparation and we have all of the commons areas done and all units that are not occupied as ready as they can be. The storm track for one model is showing the storm coming closer to Naples, so for additional protection we moved lanai furniture and items that are light into your units. We did this as an extra precaution, rather be safe than sorry. We have done all we can possibly do, the last and most important is to keep safe.
Irma is still a major storm she is very large, 400 miles from North to South and her eye wall is 100 miles across, so no matter where she hits we will have likely hurricane force winds or at the least tropical storm.
Lee county had notified they expect to give a mandatory evacuation for coastal areas tomorrow. We are currently under a Hurricane Watch, the next step is a warning. Staff has made their plans, some are riding the storm out in their homes, others are evacuating. Thank you for all of your kind thoughts and prayers.
Please know we are doing all we can to protect your homes.

Our staff is almost complete with our battening down the hatches! The construction company has secured the construction area and we are prepared as best as we can be. The owners residing at the building have all be advised of the hurricane procedures and recommendations.
Should a mandatory evacuation be issued, there will be no staff on property until the all clear is issued. I am hoping for the best and that the storm continues to move East. Currently the storm is a Cat 5 with sustained winds of 185mph and gusts up to 225mph and is expected to hit South Florida near Miami as a Cat4.
The above links will keep you informed and up to date. Weather Underground is the link I prefer, they do updates at 2 am, 5am, 8am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm, 8pm, and 11pm the computer models and 5 day forecast are useful tools. Remember if an area is in the circle or as they say "cone" there is still potential the eye can hit that area.
I will post an update in the morning.
Please keep all of us in your thoughts.
